Drew Pflaum, CPA was talking with John Hodge, CPA Australia WA Division Manager, the other day about responsible AI for accounting firms.

Then he read this comment in the Sep/Oct 2025 edition of INTHEBLACK article titled “From AI to ROI”:

“Some people are just dumping information into these ChatGPT and Copilot-type tools without thinking”, Michael Davern, Chair of Accounting and Business Information Systems at The University of Melbourne

This has prompted him to put on a series of free webinars to help his fellow accountants conveniently upskill for the AI-assisted future of work.

We're beginning this Friday, 24 October with a webinar on AI Governance.

Drew will be joined by Andrew Cooke, an AI governance expert and the only professional in WA with both ISO/IEC-42001 certification and Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
